Comment: I knew this choice was gonna swim its way in here. Jk jk, Everyone did a great job with the soundtrack, but this song, in general, took the cake as it competed with the original. Halley Berry really did the song justice.

Comment: What I like about this challenge is that we get to see smaller singers shine so brightly and Jose did that. I felt the passion he carried through the song. It was like I was in a trance and knew who he was singing to. I felt the emotion where I got teary. Okay Yup I cried

Comment: I love the way her voice is giving emotion to what the song basically is. The voice was very crisp and I felt like she was the one who wrote and sang it first. So many people covered this song, but ultimately this took the cake for me. A very great job with this selection.

Comment: I love how tender the voice is giving the emotion through. Is not forceful and done with great ease. It’s very harmonizing when sung together as the timing is really great. The way they play with the song is actually really great in the way how they did it with the soulful vocal giving a great lead and the soft vocals make it more steady

Comment: I didn’t know Dolly Parton was the original singer for this song because I was about to mail saying that was not a cover….. again XD. Like I hear this version more and more that’s how powerful Whitney made this song. I love Whitney's vocals (May she rest in power and peace) So props to this choice

Comment: I’ll give props because she sang this live, yes the performance was great, but I thought maybe It would be better if she didn’t roar through the whole song. Like damn, who let a tiger on the stage. I get that she was very soulful and she gave the power of the song, but it’s more of an overused tactic. Maybe cut less of the growls and I can get in tune with it. Overall, it was good.

Comment: I recently got into Rina lately and she’s a very talented singer. I like how this song makes her voice sound very rich and soulful and that’s what I look for in this type of genre. My only critique is that I kinda felt there should be a little bit more with this song. Like a little bit more secret sauce. But overall I enjoyed it.

Comment: If I thought there was no unique spin to this because Aqua already took the cake………….boy oh boy this kinda gave them a run for their money. This is more of an RnB hip hop version of it. It’s catchy, it’s unique, and somehow it gave this song more flair than the original. Do I dig this song more than the original……………..it’s debatable. Did I enjoy it…I’ll give it a yeah, kinda not for me (Say’s the gay guy XD) but I can throw down to this.

Song: Umbrella by First to Eleven
Comment: Now Umbrella was one of my gay awakenings as a kid, so I had a few high expectations of this selection. I do admit Rhianna def can do rock if she wanted to. Let’s go with the good. I like that she’s really into it, feeling it, and having a fun time with the song. So when I see that emotion I get that emotion. The only critique I give….it started a bit generic like I wanted a bit more from it. Like I was sold a little bit but I wanted more from it.

Comment: Straight up I love the harmony out of this cover. You know I never heard of a much slower version of the song, but I thought this was a very well-executable version. I laugh a little because this is more of a cleaner version as well, Idk why I laugh. It didn’t make me feel like I’ll get out of my seat and wave my phone in the air with the flash on, but overall I think this is good. Like me hearing this at a Starbucks level is good.

Comment: This is really catchy, this version gives really great vocals, I felt very high while listening to this. I had to relisten to this a couple of times to get into it a bit. I love how it’s not very forced where the beat of the music carried through the song and the vocals didn’t fall behind/got lost so I’ll give it props.

Comment: I am pretty amazed by how he can sing both parts of the guy and girl parts. What I like about Aladdin is songs like these can really create a spark where one can dream of being on a magic carpet flying through the air. With this, I kinda got half of the magic.

Comment: I felt like this is a bit generic for me. Like I need a little bit more from this song. Maybe the vocals didn’t give the emotion it needed or this gave me more of a band performing on a Nickelodeon show……….hmm idk, overall the song didn’t grab my attention well enough. I thought it was okay, but could’ve been better in my opinion.

Comment: Ummm………and those were my first words. The Nickelodeon songs continue. I don’t hate it, but turning this song from pop to punk……is something. Now I can imagine the setting clearly. A punk rock girl not being welcome by society because she’s different and her parents wanted her to be like her sister who is perfect and primed with a bright future, but all the punk girl wants is love and people to accept her for who she is and not compare her to her big sis. It’s giving that…………..genericness, but I got what they are trying to convey with this song.

Comment: Before I listened I thought you took this category toooooo literally XD, but hey I was interested to listen. I’m not a big country guy, but I give a couple of songs their moment. This is a really good version but it also gives a generic country song that my great-grandparents would turn on while picking me up from school. So it kinda didn’t really stand out to me as well.

Comment: More of Boyce the clean version man XD. I do say I like his soft touch to this song. I feel like it could be more since the song goes a bit harder and wants the person getting close to it him not to be near him due to his dark side. I didn’t get that emotion. So their take on the song is interesting but not in a way that is good……I don’t know I just needed more.

Comment: Okay a side note…..the faces are taking me out, like sir sing normally instead of being extra (Giving me just Bieber 2.0) . Okay, the main focus. The interpretation of the song is really great, the main note is maybe if he stopped all the extraness I would’ve enjoyed it like sir I know you’re feeling it you’re giving me an embodiment of Amber Heard’s dog stepping on a bee. The song is great I wish his vocals show more emotion then doing all of those cheesy extra stuff. (I don’t know why I was triggered by this)

Comment: I don’t know, but I feel like I don’t really like the vocals near the chorus. Like the echo isn’t really needed…..kinda took me out of it a bit. Maybe it was meant like that…..but it wasn't for me, It just sounded choppy.
