The two most important things I read in the descriptions was you said guy A is kinda boring at times and guy B is lots of fun. On a superficial level, killer bodies can change, whereas a cute face is forever. Plus, how you feel about a guy's face is often dictated by how you feel about them. Ugly can go to cute with character really quickly when you fall in love. That alone implies you like B better, maybe subconsciously.
Just ask yourself why your friends don't like him? The majority isn't always right, but those closest to you should care about you and have decent reasons. They could be bad friends, but they could have a point. Think through it all bambinoswag :)
