Yes, people do take trips to go meet other Online Reality Game players and I don't see a problem with it? I grew up on Tengaged (I'm 24 now started playing when I was like 13-14) and some of us have grown up together on this site.
It was a delight to be in a game with phenomanimal , having glasses of wine, making plans, talking about life, school, boys, family. Sorry that you haven't made that type of personal, platonic connection with people online to where you can't say -- "hey, I'm gonna leave the country for a few days and visit my boy".
If I have the expendable income to take a 3 day trip to fucking Canada to do touristy shit with Gaston and enjoy the platonic company of a good friend - why the fuck not?

I’ve met two users, one user I met twice, granted the first time was for a Survivor event. Met mearl and aquamarine during the Rodney bowl. Was friends with them prior. Ended up meeting up mearl again, we’re pretty good friends. Don’t think it’s that weird. I can trust mearl with things I would tell people I see everyday. No difference really. You’d pay money to see an old friend you haven’t seen in years.
This is a non issue, if he has the time, money, and ability to meet someone and be able to explore a tourist city why not? Sounds like teenagers who don't have jobs, or the ability to save up money, complaining about adults with full time jobs who are able to take trips just whining.
