I found the pre-merge to be REALLY dull and boring but it really picked up during the merge phase.
The fuck was up with all the southerners?
The merge was really exciting, you never knew where the votes were going to go because no one seemed to be fully loyal.
I wish they let Gary play his idol AFTER the votes, I think that would have totally changed the outcome of the season
One thing that annoyed me about this season was how pampered Steph was. She ALWAYS was chosen to go on rewards yet was ready to skin Lydia alive when she called her out on it?? And on top of that I hated how they all treated Lydia.
Rafe telling Danni she doesn't have to honor their deal and then getting mad when she votes him out was ??? Like what????
Jamie and Judd were some VERY prominent villains that I loved to hate.
I think Danni is a really good winner. Did she play a better game then Steph? That is perhaps up for discussion but you cannot deny that she was destined to be an early merge boot and maneuvered her way to the end.
Cindy was so... irrelevant. She walked so Chelsea Townsend could run!
Lots of big characters I would like to see back yet lots of forgettable ones too

They made a few tweaks with the idol until season 14 I think? Then they pretty much kept the formula. The way it was used in Guatemala was really odd, but they were still experimenting with what would work right.
