Guardians Of The Galaxy vs Ego the Living Planet
Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 (2017)
GOTG2 is probably tied for my favorite MCU film for many reasons (I'd need a whole other blog for that). When I was making this list I had 2 GOTG2 scenes that I originally had as separate entries until I remembered that they were in the same fight scene. This fight scene had 2 incredible moments. Let's run it down..
For the more sick side we had Ego revealing to Peter that he killed his mother by putting a tumor in her head. You knew Ego was bad but this just hit you like a ton of bricks. The delivery by both Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell was AMAZING. "It broke my heart to put that tumor in her head" gives me chills EVERY TIME.
For the more comical side, we had Rocket in search of Tape. Now, you wouldn't think that this would be as funny as it was but I was dying. Actually, as I type this and remember the moment in my head I chuckle. It's just great. Perfect comedic relief after the event mentioned above.
On top of all of that, this would be the first and last time we would see every Guardian + Nebula and Yondu working side by side :/
