I read the betting rules and got confused at this part: "If any of your amounts is among the top 5 winners on the game you will not lose your money."

Just to make sure I understood it right, does that mean if I bet on a player and that player loses, I lose the money as well?

If the player makes final 5 then you get your money back

if the player wins your money is doubled

if the player is evicted before final 5 then you lose the T$

if you want to play it safe only bet on charities
