This album is the only album of hers I’m actually familiar with so idrk how to rate this album fairly, so I ultimately just rounded weirdly for it.
I have to assume the genre shift for her is where all the hate comes from, but I don’t really get it! It’s not like she’s fucking Carrie Underwood, like my family listens to country music ALLLLLL THE TIME... this is different than her other albums but it’s not like this is traditional bland country music? Like omg noooo she wore a cow girls hat, burn the country witch.
This album is good. Maybe not her best album ever, but it’s not as bad as you people make it out to be. (By you people, I don’t exactly know who I’m talking to.. I saw on YouTube a lot of people hated it and saw maybe one tengager attack it, but... you know who you are, haters) I say it isn’t her best, but it’s the only album I’m REALLY familiar with, so I don’t have a place to make a ranking or anything.
I admire her genre shift and she keeps taking risks. Her risks started out crazy and insane, wearing meat dresses and everything, and now her risks are doing tame things and becoming a grounded celebrity with genre shifts and acting. She does what’s unexpected of her every move of her career, and does it insanely successfully imo.
ALSO Gaga did “country” better than Kesha & Miley, so I feel the only reason she gets hate for this album is due to her high standards, but imo this album was a success.

Weak links : None I absolutely dislike, but Perfect Illusion is a lower tier banger single for Gaga imo
Album Rating : A-/B+ (I want to be fair because I’ve listened to it like 100 more times than the rest of them, so it’s hard to compare it really. Probably more of a B+ but the other albums are all rated higher than they should be because I’ve only listened once to them and blindly rated it... basically I have a conflict rating this album ok bye)
