Congratulations to the twelve of you for making it this far!
Contestants, now that we’ve made it through the first few weeks, I am really getting to enjoy your personal styles. Some of you have sent somewhat unknown artists, but some of you have sent nothing but chart toppers. That is going to change this week, because for this week, the theme will be unknown artists. How unknown are you asking? I’m gonna ask you to start some digging, because this week’s theme is “uncharted.” You can send any sort of song you’d like, but it has to be a song by an artist who has never had a top 200 album on US Billboard. This type of task may be quite easy for some of you, and difficult for others, but not impossible. There’s tons of great music out there, and tons of great artists who deserve some recognition. Olympia, you have immunity this week, so as long as you submit any song that fits the category you will automatically advance into the next round.
Before you search for your entries, I would like to enforce one new rule. Starting this round and until further notice, you are NOT allowed to submit an artist you’ve submitted for any previous round. You are allowed to use an artist that someone else has submitted, but you can not use the same song that person has used in a previous round. As much as I’m sure you all love some of your favs, I do not want you sending music from the same people the whole time. I promise you as we get later into the game, there may be rounds where this rule is lifted, but for now it will take effect starting immediately. The winner of this season will need to show a lot of versatility, and I chose this category for this round to push you all to search for new artists waiting to be discovered.
One final announcement to make before I close out this blog. One thing that weighed a bit on my mind as I’ve been hosting was a comment jacksonjoseph99 made on week two about how everyone should receive comments, including the safe contestants. I do write comments for all of you, as typing out my thoughts about each of your songs helps me better understand who should be ranked where. I want to lead you all in the right direction on what I’m looking for out of you, and so for the first time this contest, I am going to show you EVERY comment I’ve sent to you from the rounds where you were deemed SAFE between weeks 1-4. You will be privately mailed each of your comments at some point tonight, so stay on the lookout for those. You can do with this information what you will, but I hope it leads some of you in a decent direction for those of you who have no clue what my music tastes are or whether I’m enjoying your songs thus far.
Your songs are due 24 hours from now (Thursday, December 10th 9:30PM) to send your songs. Best of luck to you all!

- Send a song by an artist who has never had a song in the Billboard Top 200.

- You will be sent comments from any rounds you told you were just safe within the next hour.
lexeyjane You can Google the song or the artist. Chances are if the artist doesn't even have a Wikipedia page for them then you're probably good, but if they do have one just check their charting history first.
