Episode 2: "Young Love" Part 2
Lilly and Cory begin to get ready as fast as they can. They put on the clothes that were in a pile on the floor. Afterwards, Lilly rushes to the bathroom, and starts to do her hair.
Cory: Come on Lilly. We don’t have time for this!
Lilly: But I have to be pretty for your friends!
Realizing that his current attitude isn’t solving anything, he gets a new idea.
Cory: Babe, you already are.
Lilly puts down the brush and looks at him, waiting for him to go on.
Cory: I-in fact, you’re super fucking hot. So don’t worry about them, okay? Especially not at eight in the morning.
Lilly: But my hairrr.
Cory: You can do it when we’re on the cruise. We really gotta be ready soon.
Lilly looks at Cory for a few seconds before finally caving.
Lilly: Okay, fine… But you owe me one.
Cory: Oh trust me. I’ll pay you back tenfold when we’re on the cruise.
They smile, and make out.
After a moment, Lilly goes back into the bathroom, grabs a scrunchie out of her purse, and puts her hair into a ponytail. Cory checks his phone. He sees a text from Lauren, and immediately checks it. It reads “Hey. I don’t want this entire week to be super awkward, so let’s talk sometime soon. In person.”
Lilly: (Playfully) Who’s Lauren?
Lilly had put her head on Cory’s shoulder, and read the text. Cory jumps, and turns to face Lilly, quickly hiding his phone behind his back.
Cory: Oh, um- well, don’t freak out… We used to go out, but-
Lilly: (Angrily) You’re talking to your ex? Why?
Cory: Well, she’s going on the cruise ship with us-
Lilly: What!? What the fuck Cory? Why didn’t you tell me? Do you still like her or something?
Cory: No! Babe, I promise it’s not like that.
Lilly turns away from Cory, sulking.
Cory: Babe, you’re the only girl that matters to me.
Lilly looks Cory in the eyes.
Lilly: Promise?
Cory: Lilly. I promise. Nothing’s going on with between us. Things were awkward after the breakup. She just wants to make sure that we’re good.
Lilly and Cory stare at each other for a moment. Eventually, Lilly sighs.
Lilly: Ugh, just don’t get too close to her. If I catch you cheating, I’ll break your jaw.
Cory laughs, and the two kiss. Cory begins to walk to downstairs, but he turns around to see Lilly back in the bathroom, doing her hair.
Cory: Lilly, come on. We gotta-
Lilly: I just want to straighten my hair and do my makeup. It’s not a big deal.
Cory: You don’t have to-
Cory sighs and gives in. He sits downstairs and waits for Lilly to be ready. Cory opens his phone again and responds to Lauren’s text with “See you soon.” He then looks out the window and sees Billy’s car in the driveway. He starts grabbing his and Lilly’s bags, and brings them outside.
