Billy’s car drives on the highway, the coast beside them to their left. Billy and Norah are in front, and Cory and Lilly are in the back. Cory reaches into his back and pulls out a six-pack of beers. Billy notices this through the rear view mirror.
Billy: Dude, you brought beer?
Cory: Hell yeah man! You think I’m gonna spend an entire week without parents sober?
Billy: Haha nah. Of course not. There’s no way they’re gonna let you bring that on board though.
Cory: Oh shit. I forgot they check your things before you get on… Well, might as well get some pregame action in then!
Cory takes a beer out and hands it to Lilly, and another for himself.
Cory: Either of you want one?
Billy: I’m driving dude!
Cory: Lame! What about you Norah?
Norah: Oh, no thanks. I don’t really drink.
Lilly: Boo!
Cory: Damn. Couple of pansies up front! Whatever. More for us!
In the sea, the group can start to see a huge cruise ship enter their vision.
Billy: Almost there guys!
The group cheers as Billy turns into the exit. After a few minutes, the ship looks massive. Billy pulls into a parking lot and turns the car off. The group exits the car and begins to take their luggage out.
Lauren: Hey guys.
The group turns around to see Lauren walking to them. Cory’s eyes meet her’s for a moment, before they both look elsewhere, awkwardly.
Norah: Lauren!
Norah and Lauren hug.
Lauren: What took you guys so long? I thought you left without me or something.
Lilly: Oh, that’s my bad! Had to look extra sexy for my man!
Lilly gives an exaggerated laugh and wraps her arms around Cory. He shifts nervously, before looking to Lauren.
Cory: Uh, hey, Lori.
Lauren: Hi, Cory. Care to introduce me to your new girlfriend?
Cory: Oh, uh, yeah. This is Lilly.
Lauren: Nice to meet you, Lilly-
Lilly: So you’re the girl Cory used to date, huh?
Lauren: Uh, yeah. I don’t want things to be awkward or anything-
Lilly: Why would they be? Because you dated him for like a month two years ago?
Lilly gives another exaggerated laugh and walks to Lauren, giving her a big hug before starting for the ship.
Lilly: Carry my bags, babe?
Cory: Uh, yeah. No problem.
Once Lilly is out of earshot, Lauren turns to Cory.
Lauren: So that’s your new girlfriend?
Cory: Yeah. Sorry about that. She’s just worried you still like me or something.
Lauren gives a shy laugh, looking to the ground for a moment.
Lauren: No, uh, it’s fine. She’s… pretty. Let’s talk more once we’re on the boat, okay?
Cory: Yeah, sure.
Lauren smiles at him. She turns around and heads to the entrance, and Cory watches as she walks away. He doesn’t snap back into reality until Billy wraps an arm around his shoulder.
Billy: Come on dude! Let’s go have the best week ever!
The group gets past security relatively easy. The guards caught Cory sneaking in beers and confiscated them. Aside from that however, there are no problems, and the group is on the boat in half an hour. They walk around the deck, gawking at everything they see.
Norah: This place is so beautiful!
Lilly: It really is! And look how pretty the ocean looks!
Cory: You’re parents spared no expense, Billy. What do they do again?
Billy: Mom’s a lawyer. Dad’s a real-estate agent.
Cory: Oh yeah, that’s right.
Billy: Hey, speaking of which, they wanted me to go see them once I got here.
Norah: Oh okay. Want me to come?
Billy: No, that’s fine. I just have to let them know we made it on. I’ll be back in five minutes, tops.
Be assertive ("I'll go with you anyway.") or accepting ("Okay. See you soon.")
*Note- Norah also got to make the choice to either accept or reject a drink from Cory this part. It was super early in the episode though so I just messaged him about it privately. Big episode for Norah!*
