Me & VanitySmurf are finally back because he finally reminded me to post for the 5th time babes
From the double elimination, we’ve chosen to eliminate Justin & Ken. Blu’s favorite song in the Sudden Death round was Nick’s submission and mine was Beck’s, and we both agreed to them moving on in the competition. Becksta20 and hayden9102 you are safe this week.

Welcome, eliminated contestants, to the battle back!
If you wish to fight for the spot that has opened up for one of you to get back in, you’ll have to sin. Okay, not really. Rather, you’ll have to express yourself through sin. You have 7 to choose from…
The theme for the battle back is another spread out theme that gives you some liberty: the 7 deadly sins. You’ll submit a song that encompasses one or more of the sins (no need to overwhelm yourself or choose a song that is doing too much). Just list the sin you’ve chosen & why you chose the song! We are looking for good production, strong lyrics, & good vocals people!!!
Please note that good doesn’t necessarily mean loud.
Good luck!
This song is called “LazyBaby” and it’s all about a guy who’s too lazy for Miss Dove Cameron. So lazy, in fact, that she asks “promised you’d fuck up my life, why my kitty still got nine?”
This song is meant to be laughed at imo so please enjoy the stupidity of the lyrics (literally lazy song writing), the overuse of the word “fuck”, and the really fun instrumentation and aesthetic :)
I picked this song for a reason that largely has nothing to do with this theme lol. People talk about how Taylor Swift released two albums during quarantine...well Hayley did as well, and I think people are really sleeping on her as a solo artist. She wrote her two albums largely as a way to process her feelings about many of her past familial, platonic, and romantic relationships and a few of them were quite toxic. Her second album, she wrote, recorded, and produced the entire thing herself. She's an extremely talented musician, and I'm just the messenger here to spread the word about her great music.
As for this song specifically, knowing the inspiration behind her two albums, this song about her pent up rage makes sense. This is from her first album which is pretty experimental and unconventional, so this song might be risky
tl;dr
listen to this song, listen to Hayley's two solo albums, be amazed (or not lol)
I couldn’t think of anything until now, sorry. This is vanity. I just wanted something a little fun and a little sensual. I think in order to be confident in self it requires a little vanity, because when you feel good you look good. And yes I worded it in that order intentionally
Here omg I pick lust. Start the song at 0:38 pls to skip intro
In this song she is almost pleading for her lover in want. I think she is fully enveloped in her desire and you can hear it in her voice. “Told my mind that I wouldn’t let you get to me” can be interpreted as her recognizing the sin but being unable to resist
