by people in life and probably on more than one occasion. the last place you should be seeking validation or holding the expectation of mutual respect is on this website. people say outlandish and vile things here, sometimes merely for shock value, so it's definitely never worth it to seek respect from tengaged users, especially those who don't even respect themselves. when someone holds a completely different paradigm than you, do you really need their respect? no. so when they don't give you deserved respect, first of all, don't be shocked, but second of all, just keep it moving. it'll be training for when it actually happens in real life.
that's what the people in your real life are for, yanno, the ones you love and ~actually~ respect.
