This list is written all based on my own opinion. All of these songs were released in 2017 or late 2016. There is a mix of songs popular on the radio or streaming, and songs that are more forgotten gems from albums or just never picked up the popularity they should have. These are just in my opinion, the 50 best songs that I'll remember from this year.
#44 - Love - Lana Del Rey
This unexpected single dropped in anticipation of her 5th major studio release, and I for one was blown away by this single. Admittedly, I am a huge fan of Lana's work, and this single brought to me so many elements of her music that I love while bringing in some new ones. For starters, this is a love song, not a tragedy or a song about manipulated love, but real and true love and that in of itself came as a surprise. The video itself drew me in and was dreamy and fun. And her voice? Absolutely beautiful in this song. While I understand that while her album "Lust For Life" may not have been for everyone, for me it was my favorite release and this song set it up very well, and the album itself just showed to me a lot of growth for Lana as a singer AND a songwriter. It only peaked at #44 on Billboard's Hot 100, understandably since Lana doesn't have a history of charting far too well on there, but this song really had potential and I hope to see more success for one of my favorite artists in other potential singles off this record.
