A great show you should watch!

Three months ago, i did a powerpoint over being a funeral director, which seemed like an interesting career choice at the time, but i would much rather do acting than that. Anyway, after i finished my powerpoint on the everyday feats of a funeral director, my teacher asked if I had watched the HBO show Six Feet Under. I replied I had heard of it because Michael C. Hall (Dexter) was a closeted gay on Six Feet Under and I just wanted to see how he fit the role (Which I believe fits him much better than Dexter). She said it was her favorite TV show and that I should check it out sometime if I have some free time. I didn't take her up on it until last week, and marathoned the entire series in about two weeks, not bothering to take a break and just experience the show in one huge sitting, which is sometimes a risk you take on whether a show is good or bad. I can safely say it didn't effect my experience and I believe I would have reacted the same to the series finale if I had watched this over many years opposed to watching it in many days. Trust me when I say it is the BEST tv show of all time, I don't care if you think Breaking Bad or The Wire were better, this is the absolute best show of all time. Never have I laughed, cried, and felt deeply sorry all at once more than I have watching Six Feet Under. Its about death, given it takes place in a funeral home, and how it effects people, not the actual death itself. The characters are all real people that everybody knows of or knows personally and it adds to how you relate to the show on a personal level. The series is beautifully directed and beautifully acted, particularly Michael C Hall's character and Peter Krause's character (Adam Braverman on NBC's Parenthood.) The series finale (The last six minutes) are the saddest minutes of television, hell movies, I have ever seen. If you made even a remote connection to any character, you will cry and cry and cry until you cant cry anymore. I can not express how much I advise everybody to get an amazon prime account or get HBO GO or even buy the entire series on DVD. This is a series that everyone should experience, regardless of preference, this is a show that doesn't have a genre, its just a show about people and life and death and how people react to it all.
