Survivor Conspiracy Theory (Not Really)

#survivor

If you'll remember, during the immunity challenge for Survivor: Cagayan right after the tribe swap, each tribe had to sit out someone, which is quite strange, since they both had the same amount of people.  I noticed that for this reward challenge, instead of it just being "orange" and "purple" teams, it was "Aparri" and "Solana", as you can see by the side of the boat, with the tribe labels, which is strange for a post-merge reward challenge to have.  Do you think that originally, last night's reward challenge was really the post-swap immunity challenge, but they switched it for whatever reason?  That's just my interpretation of it, what do you think?

It could be. I was thinking myself when I saw the challenge I was like OMG Jeff is going to split the teams and de-merge them to 4-4 (which i am still waiting for survivor to actually do btw). Maybe something happened that made this rowing challenge unable to be done then (idk some oars were missing lol) and then as a result that had to swap it out but didnt want to not use a challenge.

dontvotemeplease it could have been moved because of Lindsey's quit.

Did you not understand what I said.. clearly you did not

I don't exactly understand either, manalord , unless you're saying that it would have ben the immunity challenge AFTER Lindsey's quit?  witz That's also a good theory, maybe it's as simple as them not being ready for it, hopefully we could get some clarification.

Dontvotemeplease No i am saying it would have been the reward/immunity challenge the round Lindey quit but was cancelled because she quit and they used it later for a reward.

Ah, I see manalord ,  that gives us the best explanation for why the reward challenge was moved back, but not the best explanation for why both teams had to sit out one person for the immunity challenge, maybe they are two completely separate things.

It could have been planned but either the number of players was better for another challenge, or maybe the tides were too bad for rowing, I wouldn't say it is anything about rigging, just they picked another challenge for whatever reason.

I did notice that the puzzle logs had 6 places for a set of hands

I think it was logistically just easier to use the 'Aparri' and 'Solana' labelled boats than get new ones or repaint them?

But it could've been a switched challenge, that kind of stuff happens all the time if weird things happen in the game.

For example Palau was meant to have a Tribe Swap, but obviously they wanted to see if Ulong would keep losing. It was also meant to merge at 8 (which is why Bobby Jon and Stephenie didn't merge with Koror at the final 10) and obviously the 'merge' ended up being at 9 because Ulong just lost so much.
