Cause I and others were like, approached by KingMac back in the day when we'd do those skype quick games and it was fucked up. It still fucks me up to think about tbh.
Honestly, this appears to be the deliberate strategy of the majority. Dimitri knows they aren't beating Chrom this poll, they'll try but they know.
But this has been days on days of players personally attacking Chrom for his effort in the game and putting him up each and every time. To me, the goal seems to be to discredit Chrom who doesn't seem interested in picking fights with people to try and make people get bored or frustrated with Chrom but it's fully backfiring and they're only getting more mad that they aren't being rewarded for this play.
There's a 0 percent chance this isn't intentional. The getting mad and indignant speeches are just ways to try and sway opinion. It's not real anger and it's kind of funny.
When Chrom wins this week, I hope people realize that you need to sell your OWN story in Stars, and not focus on destroying others' stories. Tengaged gives minimal fucks about a game they aren't in and want to just vote for a story they like. and they don't like when others make it complicated or insulting. It's really simple.

It hasn't changed since the single digit stars. Some people will respect game play and vote on that but on this website people know each other and so they'll just vote to save their friends because it's just another poll. A Game they AREN'T A PART OF so why not vote for their friends?
Why not vote for who you like most?
Stars as a game has never offered incentive to vote for the best game player, and even going unnominated only provides so MUCH of a boost.
