This position takes so much time and energy out of anyone and everyone who's ever been in this position. It isn't glamerous. It's rarely rewarding. And it's relentless. There's plenty an argument to be made that the feelings shared by koolness234 have been felt by any one of us at any given time. So I literally cannot thank you enough for staying in this type of position for as long as you did.
All that being said, i'd strongly advise that if you do decide to volunteer for this kind of position, think long and hard before you do. It certainly isn't for everyone. It comes with it's own fair share of day to day challenges. It may seem fun and lighthearted on the outside, but there's a lot of really sensitive and personal information that requires a level of trust, maturity, and confidentiality, ESPECIALLY with some of the issues we've seen faced throughout the years. There's a lot of gray area, and i'm sure plenty people think they could do this job better. Some of you are probably right.
Pinzu and I will be having plenty of discussions over the next few days i'm sure, and nothing's really set in stone as it were. If reports take a bit more time than usual to process, we hope y'all can understand. Wishing nothing but the best as koolness moves on to other things.
The bottom line is, you either need responsive mods who give a shit or none at all. There鈥檚 literally no point having mods who log out for weeks with no notice or backup plan. No disrespect, all things mentioned considered, but it鈥檚 really an all or nothing kind of situation.
