I saw this story and it made me incredibly sad as this Frederick Schaeffen guy and his brainless dumptruck of a spouse actually thought torturing a child was okay! The girl's mother and the salon worked so hard to help this girl be beautiful for her birthday, but the girl's dad wanted the poor girl to have low or no self-confidence so it would be easier for him to control/abuse her.
This idiot isn't a father; he's a monster and I'm glad he and the girl's stepmother lost their jobs over what they did, but I wish the punishment would have gone further. I wish the abusers had either been sent to prison for child abuse or I wish they had been duct-taped to chairs and forced to endure getting their hair cut off before getting their heads shaved bald. Even if parents don't like a hairstyle their kid gets, it doesn't give them permission to torture the child.
I think this story is a little old, but I wish every abusive parent in the world could be rounded up and given the abuse that they gave. I wish the legal system did more to punish abusive parents, as children truly are a gift from God and need to be treated as such.
