68th & 67th: Vijay Maraj & Baaz Nahir
I love a good double elim. Vijay has actually had some of his own individual storyline outside of being Hunter’s unimportant friend, but they aren’t dynamic enough to separate him from Baaz who literally has done nothing but be Hunter’s unimportant friend.
These two basically start their Degrassi career being anti-feminist scum and like cyber harassing someone and squatting them. I am surprised after something so horrible they really attempt to carry on with these two and their friend Hunter as a likeable group of young pals.
What brings them both down to a lower ranking and not just a middle of road one is one comment from Vijay that actually makes me hate him. Yael’s nonbinary storyline is actually one of my favorite storylines in the history of the show (which is a spoiler for this
rankdown) and the way Vijay taunts Hunter as being “part of the LGBT community” for dating Yael makes him gross forever for me. I mean Vijay knew Hunter was struggling with that concept and Vijay is full on a gay person so him being the one to taunt Hunter about it just makes him gross forever, also Baaz existed in that scene so goodbye to them both.
