You're right about not having to prove yourself. As far as social media is concerned, many people are against it and now are shying away from it. I haven't used it in years and I love having the anonymity and being able to engage in real relationships without the pressure of doctoring photos or having to engage in fake popularity contests.
So just do you; post a photo if you want, but never feel you should. It is great you aren't narcissistically spamming selfie after selfie, which is apparently typical of many people our age now.

Exactly Aaliyah_, I think its awesome to have confidence, love oneself and post photos, but I feel like there's some high level narcissism going on in society right now.
That's so awesome. Its great that you have embraced that and are a fan of her music too. There's a customer at my work named Mariah, named after.... well you've guessed it haha. She doesn't like Mariah Carey, though, so it is a drag for her and she hates anybody bringing her name up.
