Ranking Every Friday The 13th Movie

14 Jaxon, Mar 11, 2022

I think I talked about doing this before, but like I figured if I were to rank an entire horror series I'd start out with one of the most iconic (and longest). Friday the 13th holds a very special place in my heart. As a series as a whole, compared against the other iconic ones of the time (Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, Texas Chainsaw) this is the best OVERALL as a whole. I think it holds up without just getting bad for the longest, and it has a simple formula that can be redone over and over and never get old (if you like it to begin with)- because that is what a slasher is.
12th: Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday
Okay huns, honestly… this movie is pure dog shit. There really isn’t MUCH to say about it. It was just a really awful movie. I don’t remember much of the specifics, other than the fact Jason transferred bodies and I have a distinct memory of watching it and seeing just a drastic drop in entertainment quality from Manhattan to this. Like she is kinda forgettable and the gimmick here is awful.
11th: Jason X
This one NARROWLY beats out Goes To Hell. It is a truly awful movie also. There is a difference between fun OTT camp, and then just… this. It took it WAY too far, and was just laughable. This movie truly qualifies as a comedy over a horror. The only positive the movie has, and the reason it isn’t in dead last, is the iconic liquid nitrogen death scene. Other than that… there was a point when the Friday series jumped the shark… and then there was this where the script really should have never made it past the ‘pitch’ stage and I truly question how it even got made.
10th: Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood
Speaking of jumping the shark, I’d say this is the movie in the series that was the first to do it. The Jason vs Carrie plotline really lost me. However, this movie is still enjoyable to watch for me. I don’t dislike it, it’s moreso of an eye roll with the telepathic power parts for me, and then enjoying the classic slasher elements. I also want to add in that Melissa did some serious WORK carrying this movie. She truly is one of the most iconic Friday characters, and it is a shame she got lumped in with this movie because she deserves better than 10th.
9th: Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan
This movie was also a look, but truly I did enjoy her. It also had it’s eye roll moments involved, but overall, it was kind of a fun spin to make the formula fresh. I do think the movie thrived more on the cruise, rather than the ending when they were not on it. I think the intro to this movie is pretty iconic, I still remember watching it as a kid and thinking the girl was so smart for hiding in the little boat cabin, and then just being SHOOK when he knew where she was and killed her. It’s not the best work in the series, but it gets the job done in a way that is rewatchable.
8th: Freddy vs Jason
I debated with myself on whether or not I SHOULD include Freddy vs Jason in..

Animal Album Ranking

14 Jaxon, Aug 28, 2021

Hello fellow animals, here we are the start of this journey I have been debating doing for months but am finally doing. The reason this took so long was this album right here... was she Keshas best entry? No. But did she supply me with banger after banger to produce a this masterpiece of an album that was extremely hard to rank? Yes. Like I literally mean it when I say this album was extremely hard to rank, I didn't do the deluxe version bc c u next tuesday is on her Cannibal EP but literally 13/14 of these songs on this list are S tier level and some of these ranks really could change on any given day depending on my mood.
Animal was the first album I ever bought with my own money as a wee little 8 year old and I played her on repeat, and I still do. The process I have for this system is, since I am a professional and am already very familiar with her music, I am going to give the album a listen-through and rank her from there. So let's get to the ranks glitter whores!
14th: Stephen
This is the only miss for me on the album, and she isn't even a miss anymore?? She is strongly in the C+/B- tier and while I used to skip it every time, I do have a newfound appreciation for her and will not hit the skip anymore. She is just kinda the easiest weakest entry for me and isn't anything special. It is probably the only song I don't know every word to, and honestly it is what is is. Sorry to any Stephen fans out there!
13th: Animal
The title track, a banger, honestly a great song. S tier level without a doubt and obtaining the lucky #13 spot. Why is she so low? Well, the billboard remix on the Cannibal EP really outsold her. I am not a remix fan, but wow she really improved upon her and added some elements that turned the song into a much more memorable moment.
12th: Tik Tok
Here is probably the most #contro ranking on this list. Tik Tok is the Kesha song, honestly. It is probably the song she is most well known for and I do love it so much. I mean the bridge leading into her saying 'The party don't start till I walk in' is legit one of her most iconic lines of all time and I make sure to hit it every time the song is on. However, despite all the iconic one liners and just being that Kesha song... she doesn't live up to the other singles on the album for me. Spoiler Alert: This album will be 100% very single heavy because she really did her marketing right to get her name out there, and Tik Tok served its purpose... but she ranks here for me.
11th: Kiss N Tell
This is where the ranks start to get VERY painful for me. Kiss N Tell is iconic. I know every word. She makes a small dick comment. The beat is iconic. The lyrics are iconic. The vocals are iconic. She hits every mark... but here she sits at 11th place?? Its painful but honestly I feel like there is a song similar on the album that just does it better and is more memorable. Going into this, I was not expecting this song to be this low... but there really are some hidden gems in..
