...If the weather is like this all month (very hot and humid), this will be one tough Ramadan.
7 year old kids (from my work) are going to be fasting! 18 hours of no food and water, how will those kids cope?!?!? O_o
I did start fasting when I was 10, but two things:
1) I wasn't forced, I wanted to try it.
2) The month of Ramadan was in winter - shorter daylight hours.
7 is too young to fast properly. :(
#Ramadan
I've realised that non-Muslims who ask me what Ramadan is always have one question after I explain.
"Don't you die from it? How do you survive??"
People forget that in poorer places, you can't choose when you eat or how much you get to eat. We are so lucky, but we always complain.
Oh yeah, one friend said, "You eat in the morning and at night? Oh, you're only missing lunch, that's no big deal."
I said, "Yeah, no big deal, wanna try it?"
He replied, "...No, never." XD
My little (Muslim) cousin took part in Lent because her friends were doing it.
I asked her if her friends are taking part in Ramadan.
Nope. XD
I am excited about Ramadan. It always brings people together. :)
