Is it hypocritical

3 Sparkinator, Jan 20, 2015

if people on this site like seeing people on Survivor/Big Brother making big moves or changing the game up on television
BUT
hate when someone makes a big move in frooks/survivor/rookies/stars that ends up in their eviction?

Opinion for the day

3 Sparkinator, Jun 9, 2014

After reading dav_o_79 's blog about his opinion on whether it's a choice to be gay or if you're born with it, I thought I would share my opinion (from a gay man himself).
I respect everyone's beliefs about the LGBTQ community, whether you believe you're born as a non-heterosexual, that it's a choice, that you're for or against gay marriage or equality in general, etc. etc.
No matter your opinion, it does not affect how I see you as an individual. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
As a gay man, I have known for a very long time that I was attracted to men, starting in 5th grade when my guy friends would talk about their crushes on girls and I didn't feel the same way. Once I gained knowledge about what being gay was and homosexuality, I knew in 7th grade that I was gay. For me, I did not choose this lifestyle. I did not wake up and decide that I wanted to be attracted to men; attraction, in my opinion, is not something you can turn on and off, or switch to any particular gender.
Being gay is one of the hardest struggles I've had to overcome. I had to watch my dad tell my mom so I didn't witness her cry; I've had my friends that I've been with for a long time walk away from me and my life because of my sexual orientation; and I've been called a fag multiple times without anyone getting to know me. I have dealt with and still am dealing with the negative connotations that society has put on the LGBTQ community.
So before you think that it's a choice (and if you still do, that's perfectly fine), just think to yourself, do you really think I would have made the choice to be gay just so I could endure all of that?
But even so, if I had the choice, I would still be gay, because I'm DAMN PROUD of my sexual orientation and the person it's helped me become today.

BIG Shoutout to those who

2 Sparkinator, Jun 9, 2014

Actually write blogs worth reading that have useful information in them, not just stupid fluff that people write to get extra t's, plusses, or popularity. I know not all my blogs are that way, but after two years in college I've decided to try to make a change in the way I hold myself on this site. Even though this is a simple site for those who love Big Brother and Survivor and want to play online, don't dumb yourself down just because this is online and not the "real world." Because at the end of the day, the ignorance you leave on this site affects the way you think and interact in the outside world in face-to-face conversations.
We may be anonymous and hidden behind a screen, but that does not mean we have to change who we are, especially for those who lower themselves to the amazing potential they actually have inside them.
