Next up, we have MOST ENTERTAINING! The nominees are...

WILLIE – Willie’s strategic capabilities were questioned this season, but there was no denying that Willie brought the ratings throughout his time on Blood vs. Water. Instead of handling his vote expose with subtlety or grace, Willie went full throttle, catapulting him to the “chaotic good” sector of the cast. He managed to skate by for a few following votes, and in that time, we had some of the funniest moments in the game.

SHYANNE – No matter the BAC, Shyanne was always a pleasure behind the scenes and on camera. Normally, an ally like Shyanne that refuses to vote close friends and throws votes to avoid drama would be considered a pretty boring character. Yet, Shyanne managed to be a polarizing figure in the game, being, perhaps, TOO blunt with her fellow players, and airing out ALL the dirty laundry and spilling tea with the hosts in the confessionals.

AHMED – From making people go on fake idol hunts (more on that later), to talking shit about the cast to production, to forcing rocks and risking his own safety solely to prove a point, there was never really a dull aspect to Ahmed’s game. Ahmed’s sense of humor and, at times, dramatic personality was obviously fun from a character perspective, but Ahmed certainly didn’t play a safe game, and always kept the hosts wondering where his allegiances would fall and what move he would ultimately make.

Next up, we have BEST CONFESSIONALS! The nominees are...

ESS – Ess was a winner pick of ours for a decent chunk of this game; she had connections on both sides and was seen as a centerpiece of the Amigo tribe. Ess’ social game is something that was hard to fully see in group chats, so Ess’ information on what happened during many of her one-on-one conversations really shed light on what was going on that the hosts couldn’t see.

AHMED – When you attend more tribal councils than any other castaway and being a pivotal vote or driving force in many of them… there’s a lot to talk about. Ahmed was able to be vulnerable & go into great detail about his position in the game, while adding a bit of humor along the way. Ahmed submitted confessionals (often multiple) every day, also being the most visible castaway on this season’s non-existent confessional chart.

ASH – Ash didn’t make the swap, and her confessionals stopped shortly after she was voted out. But, while she was in the game, Ash submitted confessionals via audio recordings. These really made the game feel more real for us, and Ash just sitting down without a script and talking for 2-ish minutes about the game were some of the most authentic and memorable confessionals we received.

AHMED!

Next up, we have FLOP MOVE OF THE SEASON! The nominees are...

TOFU THROWING HIS VOTE – While not the most active player in the game, Tofu wanted to avoid any additional blood on his hands, choosing to throw a vote on Ess in order to not upset any of his close allies. As a result, Tofu’s strongest relationship, Jason, was sent home, when a tie could have resulted in someone on the other side either flipping to send Ess home, or someone going home via a rock draw.

WILLIE AND BRENDAN CHANGING THE VOTE – After the Jason tribal, the Estoy- alliance seemed to be coming to an end. The original plan was to vote Vlad, but with literally MINUTES left, Brendan and Willie spearheaded the move to change the vote onto Nathan. This vote change was done without confirming that everyone was online, and Brendan and Willie both had prior knowledge that Krista was at work. As a result, Krista was sent home 5-4-1-1, with both Brendan and Willie losing one of their closest allies. The worst part of this, arguably, is had this vote switch not happened, the vote would have tied, and they could have had a shot at going to rocks.

DANIEL’S IDOL MISPLAY – Although Daniel played a pretty remarkable game going from an expected pre-swap boot to being just shy at sitting at a final tribal council he potentially could have won, Daniel had hiccups along the way. Daniel had a pulse on the game and a lot of the relationships that were taking place, but he failed to control his paranoia, resulting in him risking it and playing his idol in a 4-4 vote, with 0 votes cast against him. Had Daniel entered the finale with an idol, there is a very strong chance he sits here today.
