Ahem. I’m really proud of my performance here. I believe I portrayed a lot of emotion and had some very excellent notes, but I can judge myself.
Vocally, there were many times in this piece where I was off pitch, and it really brought down the performance.

Now that I’m done judging my performance, I’d now like to judge Lisa Wong.

Lisa, I talked with Janelle and she did verify that she wanted you to sing one of my songs. She wanted you to sing one of my songs, not necessarily use one of my performances as your piece. It is really undermining and a slap in the face to the judges when you use their own performances. It should really be common sense not to use their performances. One of my own team members used an Ariana Grande performance as their piece and believe me, they will be hearing the exact same thing that you are hearing.
What you did was very unoriginal, and while I am very proud of myself in that performance, I am not going to reward you for my own talent.

I am rating this performance a 0/10. I feel insulted, and I’m very disappointed in you.

I would like to verify I take partial responsibility for this, you didn’t do anything wrong necessarily, i  wish I had pushed you more towards a certain area, you did check in with me and everything, you didn’t do anything wrong, I should’ve made my stance more clear, I should’ve MADE you use a cover. BUT at the end of the day, this just didn’t work out... for at least one of the judges!
