In the ’90s, she helped lobby for the National Child Protection Act, also known as the “Oprah Bill.” This includes a database of known sexual abusers and child predators.  To beat Trump in 2020, Democrats will need a candidate who can unite the party, stand up to Trump’s attacks, and rise above petty politics. Oprah is the the exact person who can do that. Just imagine the relief you’ll feel if Oprah stood at the podium and said a meaningful piece like her Golden Globes speech. No more mention of “fake news,” provoking North Korea, and fighting with whoever disagrees with him. Trump will feel like nothing more than a passing nightmare. It’s about time we had a strong, independent and intelligent woman leading the way and encouraging young women to follow suit. The Democrats should let her run in 2020. Because why not, right? I believe that the United States need stability, a president who will put duties of looking after American citizens first; not the provocation of other political leaders, weakening the armed forces and discriminating against individuals. Oprah would be the perfect candidate, why? Because she is a hard working, driven and smart individual that has the capability to understand each political amendment and how to reform them to make a better future. We need a president with the intellect to talk such inspiration, motivation and courage that the whole nation believes they can do anything they set their minds too. We need to show that America has a community where we can openly elect a woman who has had such an iconic speech about #metoo. We need a president that is openly supportive of the LGBT community. We need these things because for many years in many countries citizens have been misrepresented... they've been discriminated in so many ways by different leaders, and that time is up.
