Lois assumes her family's wealth is what caused her family to be spoiled and entitled. She loves her family but they are not what they used to be, which is why she found great joy in Jolene. Jolene and Lois would always be together, Lois teaching her granddaughter everything so she wasn't like the rest of her family. Lois wanted to give Jolene the family jewels before any of her siblings, so she is very glad she gets to do it now.
