ISRAEL ๐ฎ๐ฑ confirms MIRI MESIKA as the representative of the country in THE SECOND CHANCE #40.
The delegation has confirmed this morning the announcement through an official statement and put an end to the rumours about a possible withdrawal from this contest.
The announcement has been confirmed today by the head of delegation Raquel Alonso who showed interest on keeping participating in this contest and has made official the entry with the singer MIRI MESIKA ;). For this reason, the contract between the national broadcasting channel, KAN, keeps the compromise of offering the chance to represent the country in Second Chances to the artists who finished in 2nd place in the national final.
MIRI MESIKA has accepted the offer and therefore, she will travel to the city of ๐ฒ๐ช Kotor in Montenegro to perform the entry live with a song titled in Hebrew as "EVE".
MIRI MESIKA faces this challenge with enthusiasm and slightly surprised as she didn't expect to be internatlly choosen again for the last National Final, or getting a 2nd place with the support from the viewers and the jury, far from it.
We must consider that MIRI MESIKA has been the only artists to be repechaged by the delegation so far, and thus, she has participated twice in the national final with the same song.
It seems that this time, both jury and televoting wanted to reward her perserverance and she will be the one to represent the country in Kotor with a song composed by her titled as "EVE", a ballad with traditional sounds and a more than clear feminist message!
EVE, is clearly an ode to the modern woman. With this song MIRI MESIKA tells a moder version of the popular biblical story of Adam and Eve, focusing of a strong version of Eve, an independent warrior which is very different from what we've been told about the first woman ever on Earth.
The official music video, Eve introduces herself as a goddess, a empowered and free fighter, who fight to release her chains, unlike the official version where she was created from the rid of Adam, and practically being a part of a man.
This time Israel wants to be as feminist and claiming as ever!! For this reason the message is very clear and also very necessary, so regardless of the results of Israel this edition, we hope that this message gets a part of the heart of all of those who are fighting and risking theirselves for equality!!
We hope that MIRI MESIKA and her song don't leave you indifferent and you get how special this message is!
Good luck MIRI (love) !!! ISRAEL ๐ฎ๐ฑ is with you ;) !!!
