"Opulence"

Happy New Year everyone! So, as you remember Bella won our challenge last week, and her prize was an advantage for this week, and it comes to play right now. She was the one to pick out of the three themes I've given her, for your photoshoot this week.

So, Bella's chosen theme is Opulence. Since it's the Year of the Metal Rat (according to Chinese Zodiac) it is the time to wear your most precious clothing and jewellery because the rat loves opulence. Opulence means of great wealth or luxuriousness. So, for your shoot you need to give us a photo that showcases that, beware with over-the-top or anything that may outshine yourself. You need to wear a clothing, it should not wear you.

When people think "opulence" their minds immediately go to glittery ball gowns. I, on the other hand, have decided to change things up a bit. I'm wearing the most gorgeous hand-crafted feathered outfit and thousands of dollars worth of jewellery on my hair alone. My red makeup and nails are the final pop of colour the outfit needs. I'm so captivated by my own beauty that I can't stop looking in the mirror!

Here, I am wearing some very expensive jewelry and suit and bowtie. I took a bit of a risk with a beauty shot, but my goal here is to showcase the jewelry, my overall opulence, and my smize as well as possible.

Laith - I feel like fabulous here, rich, and famous here, but I didn’t looked to become this well-known anything. I’m mostly well-known within the LGBT community but that’s not what I was seeking necessarily because I didn’t know any of this would happen. In my mind, it was something if one of my friends wanted to take photos, I would say sure, but I wasn’t going to quit my job and do that for a living. Obviously still with modeling, you need to support your income with other things, so I’m always working.

Where I come from, another term for “rich” is bougie. In this shot I feel like I just look really bougie, uppity and just like one of those snobby rich kids

In this photo I decided not to show any over the top outfit because sometimes simple things make better. It shows how I am enjoying my time in the yard of my mansion and ready to have  a party there - one of those parties where only wealthy people are invited!

I really wanted to shine in this photo alongside my companion the jewelry. I wanted us to be almost on the same level where I’m a little above the shine and my companion is a little under... When I took this shot and looked back on it my gaze went directly to my face as I feel I’m really captivating with my gaze and it drew me in. Then I looked and saw the expensive jewelry afterwards and I hope your gaze follows mine In the photo.

For this week's photoshoot I decided to go a more classic root when it comes to clothing, and even though the photo is in black and white, you can still tell that what I'm wearing is rich and elegant, and it's something that you wouldn't see me wearing on a normal day. I think the clothing compliment me, and that this photo screams the theme that I was assigned for this week.

For this weeks photoshoot I really wanted to channel my opulent, regal, royal side through this photo. My pose and outfit just screams luxuriousness which contrasts to the setting I’m in. This is because I wanted to show how even though my surroundings may not be all that opulent I can still look amazing wherever I am!
