"Demigod"

Ofcourse this week is another related New Zealand shoot. So here we are once again, studying. For this week's shoot we are talking once again with the historical beauty, a New Zealand is. It is believed back then that some demigod was credited with catching a giant fish using a fishhook taken from his grandmother's jaw-bone; the giant fish would become where you are standing this day, that New Zealand - and that demigod is Maui.

So, you may or may not be familiar with the demigod, well if you've probably watched Moana you might have some slight advantage. So for today's photoshoot, you are to show us the quality of a demigod - a being with partial or lesser divine status, such as a minor deity, the offspring of a god and a mortal, or a mortal raised to divine rank; a man who is greatly admired or respected.

In this shot, I wanted to convey the weight that comes along with being a demigod. Held to a higher standard and perceived by others as a man with god-like qualities, yet not a god. The struggling with being too powerful and too admired brings on a weight that only those worth can truly possess.

Demigods are mortal, however they possess superhuman abilities and the fighting prowess of a god thanks to their divine blood. They are most noted for their supernatural strength and resilience in combat as well as their superior fighting skills. Demigods are highly respected in combat. In this shot I wanted to illustrate the superiority of a Demigod.

Victoria Justice: *Demigod*

Demigods are very powerful and dominant. The Demigod is a well-known legend among the Hawaiian people. Maui is a demi-god who was known to be an ancient chief according to the mythology. He is considered one of the more important demigods in Hawaiian lore.
