- Oh this was on Tik Tok I think. Idk. I’m sorry call me a cynic but upbeat songs that have lyrics about self love make me cringe I’m sorry. Maybe I’m the problem. But like. No. Alex Newell has a fantastic voice and wow do I not like this song. I think my thing is with songs like this that I want to be able to feel the positivity from a song without feeling like it’s being shoved down my throat. Make me feel the emotion rather than telling me how I feel. Idk a good beat is enough for me to be in a happy mood, but then again others aren’t the same way. - Oh this track is different. Feels kinda singer songwriter like which makes sense, it’s HAIM. I’ve never been able to get into them but moreso bc of lack of effort than anything else, this is kinda selling me ngl. This song could not be more perfect for this theme. Like it works soooooo well. The SAX????? God I’m a sucker for a good saxophone. It really drives this song, the bass gets me intrigued but the instrumentation is so shockingly gorgeous. Yeah I’m a fan of this!!!! I could’ve done without the girls taking their tops off aspect of the video but yeah I’m impressed by how well this fits the theme, this is a BAWPPP!!! (3/8)
