There are some nice elements but there are some I don't care about.

01) 🇳🇿 🟢 New Zealand - i mean this is pretty basic but it's definitely a bit boppy. i kinda love this "yes girl give us nothing" subgenre of synth pop if it's done right. the chorus falls flat for me, melodically speaking, and i don't think the last minute is the most necessary thing in the world, but i do like the production/vocals/verse melody, and the negatives aren't dealbreakers for me... pleasant opening!

02) 🇮🇳 🔴 India - i just found this pretty one-note & boring for me. sounds like a youtube royalty-free production that she put in garage band and layered her vocals on top of it without any sort of mixing/producing. i'd honestly like it a bit more if it just stopped at the 2ish minute mark, but it sorta overstays its welcome – and the fact that i'm saying that about a song shorter than 3 minutes, it says a lot

03) 🇸🇴 🟢 Somalia - oh, this was really fun! she's really talented, like she rides the beat very well and spices it up throughout, which kinda compensates for the maybe over-use of the hook. the "bridge" or post-chorus after that 3rd chorus that kinda takes up a majority of the last minute of the song is pretty annoying, but i do enjoy this overall

04) 🇸🇬 🟠 Singapore - there's really no grey area for ballads with me, they either work WELL or they don't work at all. this leans a bit toward the latter. i've never really cared for anne-marie but she is talented & sounds great on this, and i think jj lin also has a great voice, but the fact that there's really no extended duration of them singing together is done purposefully, aside from the end; they don't really blend well together, and while i don't actively hate this song or anything, it does feel like two different songs with decent parts that are connected at the halfway point – even though there are decent parts, that's still disjointed.

05) 🇪🇨 🟡 Ecuador - i'm for sure engaged, like i was sorta bopping around the entire song, which is kinda impressive because songs that were around the same duration with a full melodic structure than this felt longer. that being said, it does get kinda headache-y by the time the song ends even if i'm tapping my toes still. but, better to be conflicted than indifferent, and it definitely stands out!

06) 🇸🇪 🟢 Sweden - yas mawma slay the hunty boots house sis drag her kween... this chorus is EVERYTHING and i love the production, beginning to end. that outro is so cool and not the direction i expected it to go in, but i'm glad it did. i will say it 100% loses steam in the verse, but otherwise this was fun

07) 🇪🇹🟢 Ethiopia - LMFAO this coming right after that last entry is giving me whiplash... i'm used to seeing JID in a rap setting, so this kinda took me by surprise! their voices blend beautifully together and i feel like their separate parts both stand out pretty equally. feels more like a showcase for how beautiful they sound together than an actual song, but i'm honestly not mad about that in the slightest, i really liked this

08) 🇵🇱 🔴Poland - i feel like i should like this, but i find it more than anything :-/... the production sounds super dated and not in like a "ooh fun 80s throwback" way, like this is giving bonnie mckee's mid-2010s solo career (derogatory). her voice is pretty but then it gets really grating when she's just like yelling in the chorus. i see there's an audience for this, but i'm not in that demographic

09) 🇮🇩 🟢 Indonesia - um okkk this mid 2000s serve!!!!!! my favorite era of music so i'm obviously very attracted to this. why are the verses kinda giving me alanis morissette LMFAOOO. like this is objectively not the best but it's so my speed that i don't really care, it's camp and it's fun

10) 🇯🇲 🟡Jamaica - i'm boring and find songs with overly sexually lyrics to be really, really cringe... that being said, i can't make this not bop! LOL, this melody is honestly pretty great and i see why this... video has so many views! on theme with the song, at least, queen of consistency. but yeah, this wouldn't be a song i ever listen to again, probably, but i can't deny that it's one of the catchier songs and weirdly one of the more pleasant listens this week.

11) 🇳🇱 🔴 Netherlands - LMAO ok these vocals are giving me rita ora... it was kinda funny-good til that drop, which was just annoying, and then it just became plain bad.

12) 🇳🇴 🟢 Norway - i should blank this because imagine being a boring gamebot in WSC but i can't not love sigrid. even though there were *some* misses on her last album, she's generally a pretty consistent artist, and i feel like my expectations were met here. it lacks the punch that sucker punch (no pun intended) & don't feel like crying have, but i also think it's a bit more polished than those songs & most of her discography too... i don't know if i like that shift, necessarily, and i don't really get that instant "WOW" value that some of her other songs have had for me. but, overall, a solid entry and i love hearing her give us some of those powerful vocals she hides sometimes for some reason.

13) 🇲🇰 🟠 North Macedonia - uhhhh i don't think this is a bad song – it's obviously kind of a mess, but honestly in a charming way, so i'm not really mad at that! but i just don't really care for this, the instrumental is kinda cool but the vocals don't live up to that and i don't particularly find this to be a compelling entry.

14) 🇲🇦 🟢 Morocco - definitely tapping my foot to this as it starts... honestly pretty surprised i haven't heard of this/her before, this is really cool! she has a really pretty voice (also those high notes near the end, damn!), and the melody is really catchy. the production definitely takes me places but i almost feel like it could have done a bit more to really go the extra mile and give me that oomph, but i'm more so just being nitpicky, this was a good entry & i'll be checking more of her stuff out!

15) 🇭🇺 🟠 Hungary - this is kind of an example of how "yes girl give us nothing" can be an insult! i'm not actively mad at this in the slightest, and aside from the beginning of that rap verse, i'd even argue this is a pleasant listen. but i feel like that's all it really exists as, there's nothing compelling about this and i don't mind entries that aren't *groundbreaking* per se, but i just wouldn't ever really come back to this.

16) 🇱🇷 🔴 Liberia - i have no idea where i've heard this before LMFAO but i have somehow? this production makes no sense with these vocals LOL. this video is iconic though, but sadly this song is really bad and long

17) 🇭🇳 🔴 Honduras - empress of's "us" album is one of my favorite albums of all time. the album this song was from is NOT one of my favorite albums of all time, and i honestly didn't love this sound with empress of. i almost submitted this in t******* song contest a few months ago & i'm kinda glad i didn't because listening to this, this is just a whole mess, totally jumbled and confusing. when i saw her name on the list i thought it'd be an instant 12 (and if it was almost anything from Us, it would have been) but this ain't it, sorry

18) 🇹🇼 🟠 Taiwan - LMFAO i was so back and forth on this until the drop & i decided this wasn't for me. the production leading up to that was cute and i was into it, even if the vocals/melody weren't it for me. i mean even the drop itself isn't TREMENDOUSLY bad, it's just kind of a dated  shitshow, and NOT one that i'm here for.

19) 🇱🇺🔴 Luxembourg - again, there's an audience for this & i see the vision for that, but... to ME, this is just so lame and clearly trying to be edgy for the sake of being edgy over being an actual song. like honestly i'm gonna take back my original claim, because i know this GENRE has an audience, but for this song particularly, i really don't see the vision. i'm suddenly helen keller in this bitch. the random production changes kept trying to levitate me, but i am unfortunately glued to the earth. pee pee poo poo this is bad

20) 🇦🇺 🟡 Australia - honestly i barely know dannii's music, but i'm quite familiar with kylie. this is like kylie-caliber? like. not comparable to her best, but i could see kylie releasing this at some point in her career. the pre-chorus is really really fun and, again, early/mid 2000s-vibes is basically my musical aesthetic. the only part of this song that really doesn't do it for me is the bridge, the rest is like, again, dated and whatever but it's fun! a good closer
