I actually do think this was a pretty good lip sync performance as TGDR lip syncs go … it was pretty clever and had a good gag! My only qualm would be that it’s a little rough around the edges which would fly in a regular lip sync but for a maxi challenge where the other girls really came to win, it’s sort of like bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Because you put yourself at the back of the image I didn’t realise this was you. It’s a bit like whatever you know what I mean even though it’s funny. It really pales compared to everyone else like there are no bells and whistles on this it doesn’t look like five days worth of work.

I’ll admit I do find this performance to be funny, and by normal lip sync standards I wouldn’t really call this bad. You were just competing against a room full of people with more flushed out stories, stylized visuals, and overall just better gay performance artistry. Yours was very one-note, and the only real effort you put into the visual was fitting everyone’s head onto their porn stunt-doubles. Even if the text bubbles were a style choice, it reads as a lazy one in the context of the other lip syncs tonight. Sorry, EATADIC!

Well, this is definitely biting off of Ethel Esther’s iconic season 7 episode 3 lipsync when she farted and flew out the window. Regardless, it’s not bad, it probably could have even WON a lipsync in an earlier season. But the other ladies pretty much said: “If you ain’t giffin’, you ain’t winnin’,” and saving a static photo in a gif format just ain’t the same tea. You were unfortunately one of the lesser girls for me this week, for sure.

Again, the bottom submissions this week are by no means bad lip syncs, I just think looking at the other girls here your submission unfortunately ended up paling in comparison. The looks are pretty faithful reproductions of Twigs’ video looks, which, hey, I can’t blame you! The looks in the video are sickening, but (and this is a note for any TGDR lip sync), TGDR lip syncs are about expressing your own creativity or humor while paying homage to the song being performed! I would have liked to see this pushing the envelope humor or fashion wise, it feels almost too faithful to the source material if you know what I mean.

I really hate to say it but I think this performance becomes worse looking at it in competition with Osama. You both had similar concepts, and you both work on the same platform so it becomes really easy to compare. Her collection of looks presented was better and more interesting, her storytelling ability was better, it just seemed like your lip sync was a rushed, low-budget version of hers :( and even saying that really sucks because you didn’t do a BAD job (and I really don’t feel like anyone did this week) but clearly the competition is fierce! Step it up!

Meh. It just seemed like you made looks from the video, which weren’t constructed that well in comparison. That reason alone is why maybe you should’ve taken some more creative liberties. I didn’t really feel anything. Adding injury to insult, Osama’s lip sync was just really good, so you’d have been pressed to make a good impression no matter what you submitted. It’s just a double whammy for you this week.

This is a pretty good rendition of XXXO -- it definitely gets the vibe of the video and song across without explicitly jacking M.I.A.’s swag, so kudos for that. However, with respect to the looks -- I’m just not gagging. They’re all serviceable looks and this would probably carry you through a normal lip sync, but I think Heidi showed you up by bringing a bit of humor that’s missing from your performance. That being said, I appreciate the effort here and it is true to the source material without being obvious.

Oh I really loved this. Luckily XXXO is a bit janky so your animation skills blend in with the vibe of the video. There isn’t much of a story but I loved the presentation!

Personally, I don’t feel like this performance was that much worse than Heidi’s. I think you sold the energy of the song/mv pretty well, and there’s something nice about a lip sync that feels strong without relying on a wall of text. I’ll say that my problems are the actual looks you chose to display in the frames, I guess? Your style choices are all very extravagant and pageant as expected from Marienne […] Boot, but it’s just more execution choices that distract me. The fit of the headpiece on the green look, your weird attempt at kind-of-ears, but not really, but definitely trying to look like ears, the fact that your character bounces around a few pixels in some direction between each look... just a collection of small things that stick out to me. Overall I did think this was a very satisfactory lip sync.

For a bottom girl, this wasn’t a bottom submission. Had you had more details in the presentation, maybe more could have been said about where you stood, not enough to be in the top, but maybe enough so that you could have been safe and Almond could have been in the bottom (No shade Almond). I love the graphics because they’re bolder and more in your face, like M.I.A. herself would have done, but I wasn’t a fan of all of the looks you used as the feature? They weren’t bad, just too simple. I’m not sure if time was a factor for you, but I think had more went into it, it could have been a better showing. I’m still happy with it, tho.
