Q: A big topic right now is Spanish/Brazilian users getting targeted for joining stars together and being put up as early noms, some going as far to call some people who nominated them Xenophobic, what's your thoughts on the issue?

I think it's exaggerated on both ends. I definitely don't think that they're being nominated as a result of xenophobia, but I believe the .com users could make more of an effort to interact with the Spanish/Brazilian users. I had success and was able to go unnommed because I built friendships and trust with the brazillians/Spanish in my stars. They just wanna win and make friends like everybody else lol

I think .com and .es/.br people are xenophobic with each other, if I would be American, I would have done the same lol

They get bullied on here so I’m not against them joining together to support each other :)

I think it's dumb. First of all, ANY duo or team joining Stars together is gonna be targeted. If you make it completely obvious like those two did, there's no question about who's going up. Not to mention the numbers issue, as they will be backed by the .es community more often than not.
It's just really smart to get them out as soon as possible, it's not racist unless you make it about race, and even then the .es community made it more about language than race XD It was just... I dunno... useless

I think they are idiots, because if people were intelligent, people will use this spanish vote to their, and try to do moves with that votes that will be loyal to you 100%

I dont know if its xenophobia or racism but I think it was a dumb move because laura and miguel are playing their first stars and they could have sheep whoever who leads them into the game. 2 votes that you threw to make interesting moves..

Tbh anyone sho plays fairly is cool in my book. I don't care where they come from. What I have a problem with is when people take a game personally and start attacking people personally. I don't think anyone on this site really knows how to separate game and personal life. I don't think where they come from matters.

Both sides are being ridiculous about the issue. Before leaving a butthurt comment or crying to mommy read the opinion through. As someone who has befriended .es and .br users in the past, I do think it is unfair that they join in premades, but practically nobody complains about the English premades. How are English ones normal but others aren't just because they speak a different language or live in a different country? BUT, I must say that going as far as to call it "xenophobic" is excessive in and of itself. If you don't want to get nominated, here's some advice. DON'T. JOIN. STARS. Or any other game for that matter. That goes for all sides of the argument. Almost everyone who joins will get nominated. It's not xenophobic or "because of the Spanish/Brazilian" it's the name of the game.

I don’t think it’s anything to do with where they come from whatsoever, my feelings towards this is that it’s a game and tbh everyone has to pick two people and unfortunately they two ended up being nominated. Wouldn’t call it an issue just controversially which is unnecessary. I wish TG would just appreciate how brilliant TG is and stop finding excuses as to why they’ve been nominated or targeted in this case, get a grip and move on!
