Last night, we said goodbye to our fifth boot of the game, Jonathan. Coming into the game, Jonathan was determined to go far. In doing so, he tried to play a quiet game by not stirring up too much drama and attention on his tribe. While on the Bambara tribe, Jonathan was sent to tribal after tribal due to the losing streak his tribe was on. Many people saw Jonathan as a liability as he was not a big contributor in some of the challenges. This quickly put a target on his back, making him a counter during some of the early tribals. However, he was able to use social bonds in the game to get him through week after week. At the tribe swap, Jonathan and Glen, both from Bambara, were put onto the new Wolof tribe, putting them into the clear tribal minority. At tribal council, Jonathan's game came to an end after being voted out on a 3-2 vote. Thank you for playing and we hope you had fun! Last night we said goodbye to our fourth boot of the game, Tim. Coming into the game, Tim was not afraid to speak his mind by labelling people as targets in order to get people against them. As a member of the Wolof tribe, Tim did not have to worry much about being voted off as his tribe was able to pull off win after win. At the tribe swap, Tim was put onto the new Chamba tribe along with two other original Wolof members, giving him a step up on the rest of the tribe. Although it seemed as if Wolof had the clear majority, not everything was as it seemed as Tim was blindsided in a 3-2 vote. Tim is also the first original Wolof member to leave the game. Last night we said goodbye to the third vote off of the series, Alex. Coming into the game, Alex was ready to play. As the oldest contestant, she had experience that would push her forward in the game. Alex played a strong social game as she spoke to many people and put herself into a power position the first two votes of the game. However, her social strength was also her downfall as many people saw her as a social threat who could easily slip through until the merge. At tribal, Alex was the third person blindsided in the game. In another explosive tribal council, she was voted out in a 4-2-1 vote. She is also the first female casualty of the game.
