Shop Strategy?

I really really want cool faux hawk hair, but everything in shops are so expensive and I'm really broke, I see lots of stuff in the shops that went for $1T but they are always sold out, what are some strategies to get them before they sell out?

The 1T items are usually gifted by the shopowner to friends. 
They pay $$$$ for the shop and they gift friends and do gift giveways! 
The 1T items are not meant for the public.
