NOTE: This is no way reflects any spoilers or possible placements for this season. This is "Jeff" giving his assessment of the castaways.

DOMINIC OGATA:

Jeff: Dominic is someone I’m excited to see play the game. Just sitting down with him face-to-face, you can just see that joy for life and the excitement to just be playing Survivor. He’s ready to get out there and start playing. For Dominic to win, he’ll need to not overplay the first couple of days like we have seen other players do in the past. If he sticks in the middle of the pack and just form bonds with people, we could see Dominic as our winner.

CORBY COOKSON:

Jeff: Corby is definitely one of my pre-season favorites because he’s the type of guy we want to have on the show. Big-time lawyer, never lost a case, family man, the dude has it all. And he wants to win this game. He’s one of the bigger guys this season so if he wants to go far, he needs to figure out a way to stay off of people’s radars. But I don’t think he’ll be able to because of his brash and unapologetic style.

JAMAR CRAWFORD:

Jeff: Jamar Crawford. Jamar is someone I’m super happy we found. The kid is just super happy to be here, he’s super charismatic, and someone people will not take super seriously until it is too late. I’m very fond of this kid, I think he comes from a great background, knows what it is like to be knocked down and get back up again. I think Jamar could do very well in this game.

SHANTRELL DOLEZAL:

Jeff: Shantrell is someone I am confident will do well in this game. She’s likable, and she has the people skills that you really look for when you cast someone for Survivor. She’s definitely got what it takes to win this game, and I just hope she realizes it, and that the other people don’t figure it out, because then Shantrell will be in big trouble.

SIRENA BRIGHT:

Jeff: I like Sirena. She’s bubbly, and a lot of fun to just talk to. But I think her youth might be her detriment for her game. I think a lot of people will look at her and just think she’s weak. She needs to figure out some way to bring value to her game and her tribe to really stay in the game. I hope I’m wrong, because I’d like to see Sirena hang around for a couple of votes.

ELANINA BRYANT:

Jeff: Elanina is a firecracker. She just lights up the room and is very polarizing. You either love her or hate her, and I don’t think she cares if you hate her not. She knows who she is and what she’s willing to put up with. And playing with someone like that in Survivor can yield some dangerous consequences. I think if she watches what she says around people, and stays quiet for a little bit, Elanina could be one to watch.

SOFIA DAWKINS:

Jeff: I don’t think Sofia will play as well as she is expecting to play. On paper, it seems as if Sofia has got it all figured out. But when we get out there and start playing for real, I think Sofia will struggle a little bit. I don’t want to say that she’s going to be a flop, because there is a real chance for her to make a good run in this game, but I don’t think she has what it takes to win.

NIXON STEPHENSON:

Jeff: Nixon to me is a gem. I don’t know where we found this guy. He’s a museum curator that is named after one of the most notorious presidents in history. And he has no shame about it! His attitude is what makes me love him and worried for him too. I think if Nixon holds his temper and checks his attitude, he could really get along with a lot of people and make a deep run, but I just don’t see it happening.

JESSICA BRINTON:

Jeff: I think Jessica might be a little out of her element here. She’s said that she’s willing to get down and dirty if it comes to that, but I don’t think she truly knows what is waiting for her in this game. I’ve been here for a lot of seasons and have seen a lot of people play this game, and people like Jessica tend to get eaten up by the competition. I don’t know, I could be wrong, but I think Jessica is out of her element.

DANIA SPEARS:

Jeff: I like Dania a lot. I think she’s someone who in any season would go far. She’s sociable, she’s pretty, she’s got a nice smile. She has a lot of things going for her in this game. She just needs to be able to apply them and figure out a way to work these things to her advantage. If she figures it out, we may see Dania make a deep run in this game.

TANNER NOAKES:

Jeff: Tanner is probably the biggest question mark for me on this season. I just don’t know what to think about him. On one hand, he has a lot of good qualities that make for a good Survivor player, smart, outgoing, but, on the other hand, I see some red flags, like some people might get annoyed with his personality. It’s up in the air with Tanner. I just don’t know.

BROOKE THORSON:

Jeff: Brooke has all the tools to be the new Parvati. She’s got the looks, the brains, and the personality to really pull in the guys on the island. And I think that’s part of her game plan. She can charm the pants of the Pope. She just needs to watch when she turns on the charm because we’ve seen some people like her crash and burn because of how much of a threat they can be.

MATT RAYFORD:

Jeff: Matt has one of the best stories of the season for sure. His whole thing with his brother is truly something I want to see play out on the season. I am worried about Matt focusing too much on making his brother proud of him and not playing the game to win. Matt is a question mark for me. I don’t know if he’ll be able to make it all the way.

MELANIE HARBOR:

Jeff: Melanie is someone I loved throughout casting. She’s trying to give herself a challenge to prove to herself that she’s an inspiration. But I know her students already love her and adore her, so I think she’s out here for personal growth. And I hope she’s able to find it. I don’t know how well she’ll be able to do in this game, but I do think she might surprise some people.

ALEC HOUSAND:

Jeff: Alec is an interesting character for me. For one, he is very smart, and he is very successful in his field of work. Everything about him says good player on paper. But I’m not sure if he’ll be able to blend with the group as well as he thinks he will. If Alec doesn’t prepare for the worst scenario, we might see him go out earlier than expected.

REDMOND PRATT:

Jeff: Redmond was someone that was easily one of my favorites immediately after I met him. He knows who he is and he sits with so much confidence in himself. He made me stand up a little straighter actually. His presence is a little magnetic and I think he can work that to his advantage in the game. Redmond is someone I’m excited to see play the game and I hope he goes far.

JONATHAN MILARDO:

Jeff: Jonathan is definitely someone who wants to play the villain. He said he loves making people cry! I don’t know where he came from or what he’s saying is true, and if it is, and he truly is the person he’s making himself out to be. Then he has a big reality check waiting for him in the game because I don’t think many people will want to put up with that schtick for 39 days. But we’ll just have to see.

MAXINE AHN:

Jeff: I’m a little bit iffy on Maxine. I like her, she comes across great in interviews, but that rarely translates to how well you can do in the game of Survivor. She’s goofy, and is fun to be around. But I can see that rubbing some people the wrong way. I hope Maxine finds a way in with people because I’d love to see her grow and mature throughout the season.

CHRIS DOSSETT:

Jeff: Chris is someone who will do well in this game, or we’ll see him make a complete fool of himself. We’ve seen both of those characters before. Chris is a little deeper for me because he has so much life experience, but there is a sense of immaturity with Chris, and that might rub some people the wrong way. I’d say Chris will go far as long as he watches how he acts.
