She is sweet and polite to everyone, an amazing friend, and one of the most loyal people I have ever met on this site. She is from Argentina, but she speaks English very well, and she always makes an effort and befriends many English speaking people, and she basically only speaks Spanish in games where there is a Spanish majority.
She never negs people in games, she never says rude comments to anything, the worst thing I have ever seen her say is when she says "you are being rude" to someone. She actually will go quiet sometimes in games with a lot of fighting, because it makes her uncomfortable.
Anyone who has ever met her can agree with what I am saying, but so often she is treated very poorly in games. Sometimes it's discrimination because she isn't American/Canadian. Sometimes it's for association to me. She and I have been nominated together for 12th or 13th place in games, may times. I will ALWAYS tell people to save Meli.
Tonight I asked everyone to save Meli, posted that multiple times in the game, and then actually logged off, to emphasize how much I wanted her to stay over me. Apparently I stayed by a vote of 7-3. I will accept that maybe two of my saves could have been from friends who voted before seeing me say that, but I did not even have 7 people who liked me in that cast. It literally enrages me that people are so fucking shitty that they realized keeping me would piss me off more than voting me out, and my beautiful, sweet friend was a victim to that.
I will repeat what I always say. I do not care if I get 13th place. I will laugh it off 99% of the time. I do however care how my friends are treated, and I will always be vocal and protective.
Meli, I love you, and you are a literal queen and one of the absolute best people I know, and I am so sorry people take their hatred of me out on you. You deserve so much better.
