In the middle of the night, in a classroom, Tanner lays dead. Not breathing nor moving. Carolyn, Dave, Alex and Austin share a room with him. Tanner is dead. We all know what happens next. Tanner’s eyes slowly open. His eyes have now turned a lifeless colour.
The next morning. Most people are up bright and early. “Alex? Hun? We---“ Anna says as she looks through the glass window in the door into the class. “ALEX!” She screams as she barges into the room. Tanner lays there, plucking at Alex’s guts, eating them and shoving them down his throat. Anna stabs Tanner in the skull and also Alex, making sure both to them are dead. She looks around the rest of the room. Dave, Carolyn and Austin appear to be fine, but are woken up by the scream. “Holy shit!” Austin whispers.
---A few hours later---
Everyone, including the kids are in the main hall, having a discussion. Most of them stay quiet, letting only the confident ones talk. “ALEX AND TANNER ARE FUCKING DEAD!” Anna cries. “We know that.” Bee states, giving her a sassy look. “I don’t believe it was anyone in this room.” Matthew explains. “I think someone else did this. Despite how capable some of us are.” Matthew gives a few of them a quick look. “Look Matthew. I trust you. We all do. What should we do?” Kellie asks. Everyone else nods their head, looking towards Matthew.
---A few hours later (about noon)---
BANG! BANG! BANG! Zak and Austin nail in a wooden board to the side of a house. Nathan guards them, stabbing walkers nearby. “Hurry up, there is getting more of them!” Nathan explains. “We’re done. Go! TO the car!” Zak shouts. As they drive back to the school, a sign has been left saying: “School. Safe Haven.”
---Back at the school---
Alexandra comes to visit Nick. Nick has a black eye and a bandage around his head. “You ok?” Alexandra asks. “Yeah. Your Dad cracked my skull though.” Nick sighs. “It’s fine. Wasn’t much there anyway.” Nick still manages to make Alexandra smile. “Maybe we should just be friends.” Alexandra explains. “NO! I like you.” Nick says, taking Alexandra’s hands into his.
Anna watches Kesley and Rhya play in the grass while Anna cries. “Anna, are you ok?” Rhya asks. “yeah mom what’s wrong?” Kesley also asks. Anna just cries and doesn’t answer. “Is it Alex? I miss him too.” Kesley smiles as they both go and hug Anna, cheering her up. “Thanks girls.” Anna smiles. “TAG!” Anna laughs, tagging Rhya. The girls chase Anna around.
Carolyn and Zak are sitting by the entrance of the school. “When do Jojo and Courtney get back?” Carolyn asks. “Soon.” Zak explains. “They said they’d be an hour. Just finding supplies.” They both wait by the fence, waiting to open it for their return.
Shenaynay is chatting with Toya and Onika. “Shit. Haven’t had one of these for ages.” Shenaynay smiles, eating a twinkie. “Girl, you haven’t lived for ages then.” Toya laughs, also eating one. “I remember my first twinkie. I was about five. Loved it.” Onika laughs. “Ugh. I miss candy.” Shenaynay sighs. “I miss my family. Shit!” She also laughs. “We all do hun.”
Dave and Bee are arguing again in an office room. “I told you! Your ammo is over there!” Dave screams in her face. “FUCK YOU! YOU TOOK IT!” Bee screams. “NO I FUCKING DIDN’T U STUPID B---“ Suddenly the argument stops. Bee leaned in for a kiss. Bee and Dave grab each other’s faces, turning their anger into sexual satisfaction as they begin pushing files of the desk and undressing.
Evanna and Britney sit in the cantine. “OUCH!” Evanna sighs. “You ok?” Britney asks, grabbing Evanna’s arm. “Yeah. Just the baby had a large kick.” Evanna laughs it off. “Oh. Thankgod.” Britney sighs in relief. Mac comes up behind Britney taking her hand. “I’m sorry.” Mac sulks, sitting quietly next to Britney. “Mac listen. I love you. I love our baby. I loved your mother! But we have a---“
“UGH!” Evanna screams as water rushes out of the bottom of her dress. “Oh shit.” Evanna’s eyes widen.
