most of tengaged suffers from mental health issues (ie anxiety depression etc) because healthy happy kids don’t have much of an online footprint — applies to chronically online tiktok and back in the day tumblr users
the more time you spend gaming / creating discord servers the more likely you’re looking for an escape from a shitty home life poverty etc. and i say this as someone who has 5K hrs in dead by daylight LMAO
the less time you spent outside / playing sports / in extracurriculars the more depressed you are
marginalized populations like ex - gay tweens/teens turn to places like tengaged and stan twitter bc they have no one to relate to IRL so social media opens that door
being online as a kid takes away your innocence cuz you see and meet people you probably shouldn’t
the less booked your schedule is the more time you have to think and more time to think = higher probability of being depressed or dissatisfied
people who get bullied and find places like tengaged have a chance to like redo their high school years and become bullies and regina george mean girls on here. most people don’t learn to do better from their past experiences
That's why I enrolled my kids in extracurricular school activities - so they don't end up on tengaged. I may be a bitch to my core, but I'm a good mom.
Lemjam6 is the most healthy person on this website! His family loves him, he is rich, and he is good looking. Unfortunately many Unloyal people can’t relate but he is a beacon of hope for all mentally unwell people here :)!
It's a double edged sword. Your take is fair in some cases, but being online can also be a gift to meet actual good friends you would have never met in your smaller real life bubble. The internet is a tool or our bad habit based on how we use it
