Well first off I want to say thank you guys for your namesake submissions. It was a neat category with some neat results. As I stated from here on out you're either in the top, or you're in the bottom. So let's get to the critiques.
LaCroix "Stacy's Mom" by Fountain of Wayne
So this is a timely classic that majority of us over 18 have listened to. It's a nice song for people to listen to. However I feel compared to other submissions this round it falls in the lower three. I guess it's not a song I typically would enjoy, and once the other submissions rolled around it just feel behind. Sorry :/
Mrkk "Lolita" by Lana Del Rey
So Lana is an artist that you either love, or you hate. There is no in between. I am obsessed with this lesbian fantasy for one, and then two this song was awesome! It's a nice mix of ballad and pop. Makes it more enjoyable for any party or car ride. I think you deliver this round, and have really been a shine in the last few rounds!
Zeptis "Jerome" by Lizzo
This song was cool. The way Lizzo sings and carries her songs is just unique. There is so few with her range. It's just in a realm of it's own. I never get a chance to visit her non single songs. Because I am a basic lesbian anyways lol. So it is very refreshing to see you submit this. A good round for you, and I can't wait to see what you bring next!
SugarLove "Angela" by The Lumineers
So I do love The Lumineers. They are a nice band with a very humble background. However I feel this song was not the best of submissions this round. It's a nice song, and the sound is beautiful. But I feel all in all it fell just a tad short amonst the rest of the submissions. I'm sorry.
CJtheIslander "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder
So I will say that this song was fun. How Stevie performs is something that is very amazing and is a voice all on it's own. My critiques are more on the lines of being knit picky. I wish it wasn't a live submission. While it was still done well, I just felt a little more producing would have been better.
Kindred7 "Sofia" by Alvaro Soler
So this was fresh compared to the rest of the submissions. I do love that it was in a different language, but you felt an understanding on what the song was about. It was very catchy, very fun, and it felt like a good energy! All in all, I think you delivered a nice submission!
Mrkk, Zeptis, Kindred. You three delivered this round and are advancing to the quarter finals. But there can be only one winner in this name game.
