Become a yelling match and a competition to see who can yell louder and insult the other side more? I miss the days of when people like John McCain would defend Obama despite his fan base disagreeing with him. I miss when political discussion was an educated conversation, and not just a back and forth of who is more stupid. I miss when politics weren't grounded in hate and instead grounded in hope for the future of the country and the world. Where are those days?

Idk. It's gotten to the point where I'm afraid to talk politics now. I get told I'm the reason abortion should be legal for saying that we should want Trump to be a successful president. Do I like him? No. But hoping he fails is like hoping the pilot of your plane crashes because you don't like him. But yet I get told I should be aborted because I want the best for the person running the country

the outlandish propaganda from both sides has literally ALWAYS been here, but i do agree that nowadays it's much more publicized.
