Descendants always has their opening number for each song, and unfortunately, this song did not live up to the expectations of its predecessors. There was too much change in tone, it was not something I could see myself listening to on repeat. The lyrics were too all over the place, and I really did not like the amount of prep and cheeriness this song had. It takes place on the Isle of the Lost, but it has this upbeat rap pop beat to it that really turned me away the first time I heard this song.
The song does have a few good moments, but I feel like overall Descendants 3 could've had a way better opening sequence. If this is the first song for Descendants 3, I'm scared to see what the rest of the movie has in store.
