The heat winner, oh dear. Not good. I still think Tamás Horváth has the best song in A Dal but the dancers need to GO. The juries weren't crazy for him but he got the highest score in the televote so that might be a sign of what's to come. I liked Reni's song in studio but that performance was yikes. The rapper lol girl no.
Latvia:
The heat winner tonight... yikes. The pre-2015 Latvia is back. Aminata tried to save the country but they've gone back to their old ways. Agnese should have made it through but I don't care what happens in Latvia as long as Madara wins (or Eurofans riot).
Lithuania:
So far a female ballad has won every heat lol. Erica Jennings kindly donated her song to Monika Marija, and naturally it won. I haven't heard all the songs yet though Paula is still my favourite from the ones I know (1,2,3 in perfect symmetry <3)
If I had to rank the heat winners I guess I'd say Saulės kliošas > Greta Zazza > Monika Marija > Ieva Zasimauskaitė though none of them particularly excite me.
Malta:
I actually watched the whole thing and I couldn't believe it. Taboo, Heart of Gold and Supernovas were my top 3 so I was fine with any of them winning, though Christabelle gave the best performance of the night by a mile so I'm glad it was her. Song for dad was cute too I guess but I'd rather not.
Sweden:
The DTF qualifiers were predictable though I didn't LOVE either (Benjamin had cool staging though). I'm glad Renaida made it to Andra Chansen at least. I thought Edward was making it over her for a hot second. Also that Patrick Swayze song needs to be stopped. Patrick Swayze would be ROLLING IN HIS GRAVE.
Overall, disappointing semi. Hope Semi 2 is stronger.
Hungary- LOL ELETRE KEL that was my #1 before and after the show i knew it had no chance, but then it qualified
Latvia- Intoxicating Caramel was robbed :( but walk the talk yas
Lithuania- Did not listen yet
Malta- I disliked most of the songs so dident bother watching and just watched a min of each song, taboo was prob my 2nd fav, but still it's only my 4th in eurovision rn.
Sweden- A weak heat from sweden, both of the automatic qualifiers were lame, second chance renaida slayed and was my fav, singrid was my 4th, edwarm blom was robbed and so was kamferdrops.
Only watched Sweden since they're the only one I really cared about. I lowkey believe Patrick Swayze is a BOP and it was my favorite by far in the heat l0l can't wait for the icons Margaret and Mimi next week (although watch them both be robbed)
Also I love Ieva's song in Lithuania!! I thought it was extremely boring at first but not I actually quite like it :)
Christabelle's song is fine too. It's my 4th in my rankings now, above Albania. Don't see it having any impact in Eurovision though unless it gets a big revamp
Also would just like to point out that my friend who has no idea what Eurovision is was singing Patrick Swayze all day with me to make myself seem less crazy for liking it since I do know it's trash
