who is vehemently opposed to getting vaccinated against COVID?
this person makes the argument that a vaccine mandate is an attack on his freedom because he's essentially being forced to get vaccinated. this person claims 'my body my choice' (they are FOR abortion rights so at least they're somewhat consistent when they use this phrase).
I never really know what to say to them. I don't want to call them an idiot nor do I want to have no good counterargument. what should I say next time it comes up? x
i wouldn’t argue, you just gotta tell them the facts and if after that, they don’t care, i would stop. if they care enough about themselves & the people around them, then they’ll get it, or at least research it themselves
At this point people have made their choice, if they haven’t gotten it by now they’re not going to get it and there’s probably no point in arguing with them.
i think it truly is everyone's own right to get vaccinated or not. it's not really worth arguing about with someone. i just choose not to engage in those kind of conversations anymore and if they bring it up, i just say something like "i'm not interested in discussing this right now, can we talk about something else?" and if they don't drop it, i just leave the conversation. im too old to spend time talking about shit i dont want to.
You don't argue with them because you're a liberal who has screamed "pro-choice" for the last 20 years of your life. So you let them live their life as it is their choice.
I am vaccinated, however as someone who always claimed to be pro-choice, I can't sit here and tell someone what to do with their body. It should be your choice, but i fully support businesses putting personal mandates in place that people need to be vaxxed to work there or go there.
