My second movie adventure of the day! The link to my other review from today will be below. Going into this movie I didn't know what to expect. The reviews were people hating it or loving it with no real in between. I'm a really big Marvel fan so I was happy to see Venom but I won't lie about not being happy with some of Sonys money driven choices (not including Spider-Man, rating it PG, etc)
The movie was fine. It wasn't bad but it wasn't fantastic either. I know then orignal origin of Venom and while the tweaking of the story was obvious to me they didn't do a terrible job with it. The movie started really bad imo between the script to the acting. It's weird because it got way way better as it went on. Some solid moments. The boss battle felt rushed but it was cool to see Riot on the big screen. The post-credit scene was also AWESOME.
All in all this was simply ok. They didn't know whether they wanted Venom to be a villain or hero and some of the dialogue was absolutely abysmal. This is a small spoiler but

an example was after the crash when Venom healed Brock's leg and he literally said "What! My legs! They were broken! Now they're not!" Who tf are these writers?
I saw Tom Hardy signed on for 3 Venom films so it will be interesting to see how they go about it without a key part (*coughs* Spider-Man *coughs*)
