A Star Is Born (Spoiler Free Review)

Ok so I was a little nervous seeing this movie because 1) I don't like musicals and 2) I heard the movie made people ball their eyes our.

For starters, this wasn't a musical musical. There was no bursting out in song which I was so thankful for. Maybe it was never considered a musical and my brain just thought it was cuz of the music.

Anyways, this movie was really solid. It clocked in at around 2.25 hours but it didn't feel like it at all. The pacing was great, very fast at some points, but great. I think this was beautifully acted by both Gaga and Cooper. The gradual build to the climax was good. The foreshadowing was well done. The connection between the characters felt very genuine and Charlie The Dog was a king.

I didn't cry but I will admit their got a few gut punches in. They basically spit in my smiling movie-goer face LMAO. This was a mother/son day out so my mom cries but she's cries at everything so. The ending....oh girl the ending scene......

The soundtrack is breathtaking, maybe I'll do an in-depth ranking of the songs?????

If I had to rate this out of 5 stars it would get a solid 4.5/5. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that I felt it moved a little too fast in some parts.

Later tonight I'm going with my friends to see Venom. Everyone seems to either love it or hate it with no in between so we'll see!

Looking back it’s a very simple film but it’s just presented so beautifully you just take it for what it is

Agreed. It was a very simple love story but not in the Hallmark way....at all. Which I was afraid of. Anas
