For the people who know me best, this year has been a year of adversity. I do consider 2014 the best year of my life--however there were many low points where I truly felt like these were the darkest days. This song speaks for itself--"from down this low/it's only up we go". I'd talk so much more about this song, but really this song should speak for itself.

This is the second time LIGHTS has captured my #1 song of the year, the last being in 2009 with "The Listening". LIGHTS and Panic! at the Disco are my only repeat artists who have captured song of the year.
