Fall Out Boy has always been one of my favourite bands, and this song was a grower. It's intensity has made it one of my automatic pump-up songs. The song combines motivation with catchiness and it's certainly a hit that'll be stuck in my head for years to come.

#4 - Headlights - Eminem ft. Nate Ruess from the album "The Marshall Mathers LP 2"

I didn't listen to this song until the passing of a dear friend who was basically a father figure to me. He and I would always listen to Eminem growing up, and this song just got to me. It got to me a lot later in the year for different reasons. The genuine feelings expressed in this song, and the lyrics "I want a new life (start over)/One without a cause (clean slate)/So I'm coming home tonight (yeah)/Well, no matter what the cost/And if the plane goes down/Or if the crew can't wake me up/Well, just know that I'm alright/I was not afraid to die/Oh, even if there's songs to sing/Well, my children will carry me/Just know that I'm alright/I was not afraid to die/Because I put my faith in my little girls/So I never say, "Goodbye, cruel world."/Just know that I'm alright/
I am not afraid to die/" always get me. It''s a heartfelt song tied in with dear memories growing up. It was the perfect match and the reason this song charted so highI didn't need to quote the whole verse, but I thought it was appropriate. RIP CB.

#3 - Problem by Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea from the album "My Everything"

Catchy production, catchy bubblegum pop lyrics, and super fun to sing. I could go on and on about how much I love Ariana Grande, but anyone who loves this song knows what I mean when I say it's the epitome of a fun, feel good song to sing.

#2 - Fancy by Iggy Azalea ft. Charli XCX from the album "The New Classic"

The "bad ass bitch" anthem of 2014. Iggy delivers catchy, sassy, and quick. Charli XCX carries the chorus and the bridge. Both work together to make an awesome song with the best production on a song this year. The second you hear the opening instrumentals, is it a keyboard??-- you know it's about to get good, and everyone around you is about to burst out into rap.
