I'm so annoyed I slept on this album for so long holy shit. In my infancy as a Björk fan, soon becoming the current supreme Bjarb of Tengaged, I mostly streamed the more "mainstream" songs of Björk. I think it took me like a year and a half to go through her discography in-depth, which was when I finally listened to Vulnicura... and I honestly didn't care for it much. It wasn't until after exiting a pretty serious relationship did I actually get to appreciate all of the emotions on this album, which might've been for the better. Being a Bjarb >>> Being in a relationship 😤😤💖💕😢
As always, if you disagree with my placements, Yikes! Uh oh!
===GOD TIER===

NOTES:
- History of Touches is like one of my top 10 favorite songs ever. I remember being emotionally drained after listening to it during my first few listens of it. Sometimes I wish it was longer, but I think the brevity of it compared to the rest of the album helps the transition into the post-Barney Vulnicura.
- Stonemilker is slightly overrated by most Bjarbs but like it's also an amazing track, no?
- Atom Dance is very underrated. I think a lot of people aren't super into it just because it is one of the few times we get a collaborator on a Björk track, that being ANOHNI. However, I think ANOHNI works amazing on this track, and I honestly prefer her presence here than her 2 tracks on Volta, both of which are still good.
- Mouth Mantra is a bit of an outlier compared to the rest of the album, specifically because it isn't about her relationship with Matthew Barney. That plus the instrumental being just ok, for Björk standards, put it at last.
Nnn I haven’t listened to this album in quite a bit but I do think your bottom 3 is actually my top 3 💀 love black lake too tho, I rly need to revisit miss bjork soon
